John Fanning was born in Ireland.
After college he managed bars in Dublin and London, until he went to New York where he met Kerry, his wife, while working in a coffee shop in the East Village. They got married six months later and moved to Alaska.
John got a masters degree from University College Dublin in the early nineties, after finishing his primary degree at St. Patrick’s in Maynooth, none of which have been much use to either his writing, or retreat work.
He is presently writing two novels, some of the characters having previously appeared in his novel, Ezekiel.
John lives in France with Kerry and their three children.
