When I’m not writing, I run La Muse artists and writers retreat in the south of France with my lovely wife, Kerry.
I have lived permanently in France for over 10 years now.
My last job before founding La Muse, with Kerry, was as a researcher/reporter at Vanity Fair in NYC.
I got my masters degree from University College Dublin in the early nineties, after finishing my primary degree at St. Patrick’s in Maynooth, none of which have been much use to either my writing, or retreat work.
After college I managed bars in Dublin and London, until I went to New York where I met Kerry, while working in a coffee shop in the East Village.
We got married six months later, moved to Alaska and are still together after 16 years.
You can read about my books here.
